    Mr Imbuldeniya graduated from St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Hospital Medical College in 2001. His surgical training was entirely in London, based initially around the Royal London Hospital, and then Imperial College NHS Trust, with specialised fellowship training at the Mater Hospital, Sydney, Australia and The University Dexeus Hospital in Barcelona, learning from some of the worlds finest hip and knee surgeons. He specialises in robotic and computer guided surgery, complex hip replacement surgery in the younger, active adult, treating problematic hip replacements, key hole knee surgery for ligament and cartilage injuries as well as traumatic injuries and fractures.

    His professional interests are technology assisted surgery and national and international health policy and innovation. He is passionate about improving the quality and safety of patient care, and ensuring patients benefit from the latest advances in medicine. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association, the Computer Assisted Orthopaedic Surgery Society, the European Society Sports Knee Surgery, the British Hip Society, the British Association of Knee Surgery and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

    He holds a substantive Consultant post at the Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust, at the West Middlesex University Hospital and is actively involved in the training of the next generation of doctors at Imperial College London as a current examiner.
