    Mr Taff Edwards is a fellowship trained Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon with an interest in routine and trauma upper limb surgery. He is also a proud member of the British Army and has served abroad on many occasions as a proactive team member and leader contributing to the surgical management and reconstruction of the critically injured.

    Mr Edwards is currently a Consultant Surgeon at the Royal London Hospital, a Major Trauma Centre where he offers outstanding care to severely injured patients as well as an elective service in Hand, Wrist and Elbow surgery. His background extends from experience and training at the DGH and Trauma Centre Level, and has undertaken the yearlong prestigious British Society of Surgery to the Hand (BSSH) Advanced Training Fellowship based at Wrightington hospital where he specialised in wrist/hand surgery, complex elbow reconstruction and peripheral nerve injury.

    Mr Edwards enjoys involvement in pragmatic evidence-based clinically driven research and has engaged in clinical research whilst on Fellowship in collaboration with a team of specialists expertized in their field.

    Mr Edwards has an extensive background in numerous local and international hospitals where he practised in Trauma and Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Emergency Medicine, and the care of Military personnel with complex injuries. Furthermore, he has deployed 4 times on operational duties to Iraq and Afghanistan working on the front line as a medic and within the Field Hospital. Mr Edwards also has been involved in teaching and research in many fields. He studied for his research Doctorate at Imperial College London from 2014 to 2016 for which he was awarded The Alexander Medal Presented by Prince Richard, the Duke of Gloucester; The Premier Award of the British Army medical services for professional work of outstanding merit.

    He is a tutor at Queen Mary College on the Master in Trauma course. His professional knowledge and skills are constantly kept up to date and is reflected in his recent publications and book contribution, notably an author for the latest edition of Grays Anatomy (2019).
