    Dr Shamali Hoque completed a BSc in Pharmacology at University College London with First Class Honours, prior to studying medicine. She completed her MBBS at the Barts and The Royal London Hospital Medical College and graduated in 1996 with a distinction in Medical Ethics. Her general medical training was mainly at Barts and The Royal London Hospital during which time she completed her MRCP ( UK ) and then started her Dermatology training at St John’s Institute of Dermatology. She then began her Specialist Dermatology training at St George’s Hospital.

    Dr Hoque was appointed as a consultant at University Hospital Lewisham in 2007. She is the Lead Clinician for Skin Cancer at Lewisham Hospital and a member of the South East London Cancer network / Tumour working Group. She is also Joint Clinical Dermatology Lead and Educational supervisor to Dermatology Specialist Registrars at Lewisham.

    She is actively involved teaching, training and has presented regularly at GP meetings. Her main interests are Skin Cancer, Genital Dermatology, General Dermatology and Paediatric Dermatology. She has performed audits and published articles in these areas of interest.
