Dr Rosalind Given-Wilson is a Consultant Radiologist and Medical Director at St Georges Hospital and Honorary Senior Lecturer at St Georges Medical School, University of London. She specialises in Breast Imaging and Screening and is Director of the Training Centre. She set up the Breast screening unit in 1991 and has worked in both symptomatic and screening breast diagnostics since that time.
Dr Given-Wilson trained at Cambridge University and St Thomas Hospital before radiological specialist training at Kings College Hospital. She has research interests in optimising screening practice and computer aided detection in mammography and has over 90 peer reviewed publications and abstracts. She is a member of the DoH National Advisory committee on Breast Cancer Screening and the National Radiology Breast Screening QA Committee (big 18).
Dr Given-Wilson enjoys and is committed to education and training. In 2008 she was the Royal College of Radiologists Breast Imaging Group professor, visiting training centres and speaking at Conferences to promote Breast Imaging as a career. -
