About

  • Biography icon plus

My registrar training in general neurology began at the Royal Free Hospital and sub-specialty training was completed at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen"s Square, London. Prior to receiving my CCST, I was attached to the department of Neurology at the Mount Sinai Medical Centre, New York, in the capacity of visiting registrar.

I was an MRC Clinical Training Fellow at King"s College, London, where I received a PhD in neuropharmacology for work on the role of P450 enzymes in the basal ganglia in Parkinson"s disease. During this time, I had clinical attachments at the Royal Free and the national Hospital, Queen"s Square under the supervision of Professors AHV Schapira and CD Marsden. I have over eight years post-graduate experience in clinical neurology and many original publications in neurology and the neurosciences.

I was appointed to the post of Consultant Neurologist at the Luton & Dunstable Hospital NHS Trust and the Royal Free Hospital, London, in March 2002. My clinical interests encompass all aspects of neurology but I have developed particular interest in the management of Parkinson"s disease, balance disorders/vertigo and headache.
