    Dr Nida Chammas is a consultant physician in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Medicine. She has extensive clinical experience gained in a variety of hospitals in and around London, from busy district general hospitals to major teaching hospitals such as the Hammersmith, University College Hospital, King’s College Hospital. Having spent 19 years in the NHS, including seven at consultant level, she is now practising privately.

    Alongside her clinical work, Dr Chammas has undertaken valuable research to benefit clinical practice, including an MSc in Endocrinology and Diabetes at King’s and valuable research into the management of the diabetic foot, with results presented and published internationally. She has subsequently undertaken further research into the prevention of diabetic foot, having successfully secured NIHR CLAHRC funding. She was clinical lead for this programme at West Middlesex Hospital. She is maintaining her research interest in diabetes alongside her private practice.

    Dr Chammas has undertaken additional specialist training in the field of reproductive endocrinology at UCLH and St Mary’s, and has obtained a postgraduate award in insulin pump therapy from Warwick University.
