    After graduating from the University of Dundee in 1991, Dr Mike Dennis trained as a physician in Liverpool. He then moved to Australia to specialise in haematology. Dr Dennis joined The Christie on his return, then undertook further haematology training in Liverpool before returning to The Christie as Consultant Haematologist in 2004, where he is now Clinical Director of the haematology and transplant unit. Dr Dennis is an active researcher with the National Cancer Research Network's AML and myelodysplasia working groups and a member of several other professional groups, including the European group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT), the Royal College of Physicians, the Royal College of Pathologists and the British Society for Haematology.
