Dr Mary Wain qualified from the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy's & St Thomas' Hospitals, University of London in 1997 with honours in five subjects and was awarded the college Silver Medal, Medicine Medal and Surgery Prize. During her undergraduate medical training she undertook a BSc in Physiology for which she was awarded First Class Honours and the college Physiology Prize. After qualification she completed postgraduate training in general medicine at St Thomas' Hospital, London and obtained the MRCP.
Dr Wain has been working exclusively in Dermatology since 2000, completing training at St Johns Institute of Dermatology, Guy's & St Thomas' Hospitals, and was appointed a Consultant Dermatologist at St George's Hospital, London. During her training she undertook research in cutaneous lymphoma and was awarded an MD by the University of London. In July 2009, she returned to St John's Institute as a Consultant Dermatologist specialising in skin cancer and general dermatology. -
