    Dr John Devlin graduated in Glasgow with specialist training undertaken in Manchester Royal Infirmary, Kings College Hospital, St Marks Hospital and Hospital Beaujon, Paris. Principally a clinician, he has an extensive research and publication record extending to over 60 articles and book chapters on various aspects of clinical gastroenterology.

    An NHS Consultant in a leading Teaching Hospital Department for over 10 years, Dr Devlin contributes actively to local NHS Trust management, South Thames GI Cancer Networks, London Deanery and regional Gastroenterology committees. Member of the Pancreas Society, British Society of Gastroenterology, British Association of the Study of the Liver, and London IBD forum. Actively engaged in medical politics including membership of the Conservative Medical Society.

    Dr Devlin's particular clinical interests are advanced and therapeutic endoscopy with innovative applications of new technologies. His expertise is centred on the diagnosis and palliative management of GI cancer. Sub-speciality interests include the management of food intolerances, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, complex liver disease, hepatitis and jaundice.
