    Dr Imad Sedki has an extensive background of Orthopaedic Surgery, which helped him develop a special interest in the rehabilitation of amputees. He is currently one of a handful of doctors in the UK who have dedicated their full career to amputee rehabilitation.

    Dr Sedki workd in two NHS Limb Fitting Centres, The Luton and Dunstable Hospital and The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, a tertiary referral centre. He manages a wide range of cases including vascular, traumatic amputees, amputations due to malignancy and congenital limb deficiencies.

    He has several publications at peer-reviewed journals including the first study internationally to develop the prescribing guidelines of microprocessor controlled prosthetic knee joints.
    He is also the current chair of the Special Interest Group for Amputee Medicine (SIGAM) under the British Society of Rehabilitation Medicine and an active member of the International Society of Prosthetics and Orthotics.
