    Craig Bailey qualified from Westminster Hospital Medical School and trained in anaesthesia in both London and Cambridge. He has been a Consultant at Guys and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust since 1995. He is an Honorary Senior lecturer at Kings College London and his particular interests are thoracic anaesthesia, orthopaedic anaesthesia and anaesthesia for lower GI surgery. He has authored a book, many original articles, editorials and chapters on a range of topics.

    He has been Training Programme Director for the South Eastern School of Anaesthesia and a College Tutor. He became an Editor of the journal Anaesthesia in 2011, was an Examiner for the Royal College of Anaesthetists for twelve years and was appointed to Council of the Association of Anaesthetists in September 2016. He is currently Chair of the Safety Committee, Association of Anaesthetists.
