  Dr Christopher McNamara is a consultant haematologist with an interest in general haematology and haematologic malignancies. His specialty interest is in lymphoma and in this subject he has published extensively. He has been involved in the development of treatment guidelines for haematology patients, nationally, for the British Committee for Standardisation in Haematology, and internationally, for the European Society of Medical Oncology. He has worked extensively in the development of new therapies and clinical trials, notably in the field of radio-immunotherapy for Hodgkin lymphoma patients.
  
  He also has a strong interest in providing specialist diagnostic services for haematology patients and is involved in teaching, examinations and quality assurance programs in this field.
