After completing his undergraduate studies in medicine, Dr Subramaniam Ramakrishnan spent more than 15 years in the speciality of gastroenterology and general medicine. In 2007, he was appointed as a consultant with a specialist interest in all aspects of endoscopy, gastroenterology, liver and pancreatic disease. He is currently the endoscopy lead at the endoscopy unit at Warrington Hospital, with a keen interest in service development, teaching, training and research. He has performed over 8000 diagnostic and therapeutic procedures that includes gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy and ERCP with excellent success rates and high patient satisfaction scores.
Subramaniam is also the lead for advancing quality programme (AQuA) for the trust and participate actively in achieving a high quality of care across both medical and surgical divisions of the hospital.
