Dr Rafal Dworakowski is a leading Consultant Cardiologist with HCA Healthcare at the renowned London Bridge Hospital, along with an NHS post at Kings College Hospital where he is also the quality and governance lead for the cardiovascular division. He has vast experience and knowledge across all areas of general cardiology but has a special interest in valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease and acute and chronic heart failure. He works within a multidisciplinary team of cardiothoracic surgeons, microbiologists and specialist nurses providing a first-class service infective endocarditis service.
He began his career at the Medical University of Gdansk in Poland, graduating with a Medical Degree in 1998. Following this, he completed his undergraduate training and undertook specialist training in general cardiology. In 2006, he started working at King's College Hospital in London, where he completed a sub-speciality training in echocardiography, coronary and structural intervention. Throughout his career, he has published several manuscripts and co-authored medical books. He remains heavily involved in active research and holds a post of Honorary Senior Lecturer at Kings College London.
