  Dr Parind Patel is a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine at the Harley Street Clinic and the Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College since 2004. He has completed extensive training in all aspects of adult critical care at the most reputable London Teaching Hospitals. He is the Lead Clinician for Audit and Guidelines, the Intercollegiate Board Tutor and Examiner for the European Diploma in Intensive Care Medicine.
  
  Dr Patel’s ongoing research interests include percutaneous tracheostomies, pancreatitis, management of severe sepsis and outcome following complex major surgery. He has provided second opinions and direct patient care in Kuwait, Qatar, Egypt and Geneva (for Saudi Arabia), with successful patient outcomes. His experience and training in Management and Intensive Care Medicine allow him to appreciate that teamwork and communication are essential to the successful management of critically ill patients.
