Dr Nitha Naqvi is Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist with a special interest in echocardiography and aortopathy.
She is Director of the Paediatric Cardiac Network and leads the paediatric aortopathy including Marfan service.
Dr Naqvi qualified from Guy’s & St Thomas’ Medical School, London, with honours. She obtained a First Class Honours BSc Degree and later completed her Masters from the Institute of Child Health. Her postgraduate paediatric training was at Guy’s and St Thomas’, University College London, Birmingham Children’s, Royal Marsden and Northwick Park Hospitals.
She has worked in paediatric cardiology since 2000; training at Guy’s, Great Ormond Street and Royal Brompton Hospitals.
Dr Naqvi has won the British Congenital Cardiac Association prize for research and a Royal Society of Medicine paediatric prize. In addition to this, she has published in peer review journals and has presented her research paper internationally.
Dr Naqvi is a fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health and a member of the European Society of Paediatric Cardiology. -
