Dr Nemesha Desai is a Consultant Dermatologist at the St. John's Institute of Dermatology, Guy's and St. Thomas' NHS Trust in addition to establishing and running a large tertiary clinic for patients with complex acne and hidradenitis at Guy's Hospital. Her interests include general and medical dermatology, acne, eczema, psoriasis, hidradenitis, skin cancer, moles and medical education.

Dr Desai completed her medical training with honours at King's College London, speciality training in dermatology in London with sub-speciality experience in medical dermatology at the University of Miami and postgraduate training in medical education at the University of London. She was awarded CCT dermatology in Nov 2009.

Dr Desai is a clinical lecturer at King's College London, lead for GP education at St. John's Institute of Dermatology and BAD (British Association of Dermatologists) education subcommittee representative for GP education. Her clinical service works closely with the department of genetics and molecular medicine at King's College London assessing genetic factors in hidradenitis. She is also part of a European panel developing clinical guidelines in this area.
