Dr Garcez is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist and is the clinical lead for thyroid cancer at The Christie.

She provides treatment and follows up for patients with thyroid cancer using a combination of radioiodine, radiotherapy and systemic therapy with targeted agents and chemotherapy.

Dr Garcez also treats patients with head and neck cancer using radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Dr Garcez graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine in Cardiff in 1998, completing her general medical training in South Wales. She continued her speciality training in Clinical Oncology in Velindre Cancer Centre, Cardiff, moving to The Christie hospital in Manchester, becoming a Consultant in 2014.
