    Training
    Jonathan graduated from the Royal London Hospital in 1995 and had postgraduate training at five different London teaching hospitals.

    Consultant appointments
    Jonathan was appointed Consultant Rheumatologist and Sports Physician at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, in 2012. Between 2004 and 2012 he was a Consultant at Headley Court, the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre and Honorary Consultant Rheumatologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals.

    Rheumatology
    Jonathan is expert at treating all forms of arthritis and has worked at the Inflammatory Arthritis Centre at Guy’s hospital as a consultant for the last five years.

    Sport and Exercise Medicine
    He has experience in particular in Professional Football, Rugby Union and Disability Sport. He was Medical Officer to the GB 2008 Paralympic Team in Beijing and worked as a Sports Medicine Consultant at the 2012 London Olympic Games.

    Tendons
    Jonathan is an international expert on tendon disorders. His medical doctorate from UCL won the British Society of Sport and Exercise Medicine 2008 research prize. He regularly lectures nationally and internationally and has been interviewed by both BBC and ITN news.

    Ultrasound
    Jonathan has acquired a high level of skill at performing musculoskeletal Ultrasound examinations. Patients can often be scanned and have a diagnosis confirmed at the first appointment. Jonathan holds a postrgraduate qualification in musculoskeletal ultrasound and has taught on international ultrasound courses.
