Jeremy Prout qualified from University College and The Middlesex Hospital in 1991. He chose to specialise in anaesthesia after an initial postgraduate training in both medicine and surgery. His anaesthetic training was obtained in various London centres including The Royal Brompton, The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. He obtained the FRCA in 2000 and entered the GMC Specialist Register for Anaesthesia in 2005.
Dr Prout is a Consultant Anaesthetist at The Royal Free Hospital and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at University College London. His particular interests are in anaesthesia for major surgery including liver transplantation. He is also committed to training and education as the Royal College Tutor for anaesthesia.
