Dr Hedley Berry trained at Wadham College, Oxford and Guys Hospital Medical School, London. He started his career in Medicine with House Physician roles at Guy"s and then Senior House officer roles at St Bartholomew"s Hospital. He became a Senior Registrar in Cardiology and started his interest in inflammatory joint disease by carrying academic and clinical research which led him to receiving a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Oxford. He continued clinical work as Senior Registrar at The London Hospital.
Dr Berry was appointed Consultant to the Department of Rheumatology, Kings College Hospital where he worked for 25 years. Whilst in this post, he has carried out extensive clinical research and has published numeous peer reviewed papers in learned journals. He is a teacher in the University of London and he taught generations of medical students. He has lectured on Rheumatology world wide with special reference to the treatment of inflammatory joint disease.
Dr Berry is now working in full time private practice. His major interests are in diagnosis and treatment of arthritis. He has developed a special interest in medical aspects of back pain, and also has wide experience of management of neck and arm pain along with soft tissue conditions such as tennis and golfers elbow. He has an interest in osteoporosis and osteomalacia. -
