    Dr Harry Kaltsidis is a London trainee in Gastroenterology, having rotated in some of the most prestigious teaching Hospitals in the NW Thames Rotation (Hammersmith, St Mary's, Charing Cross and St Mark's). Prior to completion of his training in Gastroenterology he undertook a basic research project studying the immunological effects of HIV infection in the gut and aiming to identify new vaccine targets. This led to the award of a PhD degree from Imperial College London. After completion of his Clinical training in Gastroenterology and General Medicine he undertook a 1 year Fellowship in Pancreatobiliary Medicine, ERCP and Endoscopic Ultrasound, which was followed by a further 12 month training Post at University Hospital Aintree in Liverpool. Dr Kaltsidis is currently a Consultant in Pancreatobiliary Medicine and Gastroenterology at the University Hospital of South Manchester (UHSM) and a Member of the regional HPB Multidisciplinary Team as well as the HPB Pathway Board for Greater Manchester. His specialises in complex ERCP (including Spyglass cholangioscopy) as well as pancreatobiliary EUS/FNA, while routinely teaching and training SpRs and Clinical Fellows in these procedures. He is also a Faculty Member of the only JAG-approved 'Training the ERCP Trainers' Course at the Royal Stoke Hospital. Dr Kaltsidis is an experienced general endoscopist and he is JAG-accredited in upper GI endoscopy as well as colonoscopy, routinely performing large polypectomies / EMRs. His research interests include endoscopic therapy in chronic pancreatitis and EUS delivered endotherapy for pancreatic diseases.
