Dr Abbas Chittalia is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist with 15 years of experience. He specialises in the treatment of both early stage and advanced stage of breast cancer.

Dr Chittalia provides Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy, endocrine therapy and targeted therapies of all stages of breast cancer. 

Dr Chittalia completed his undergraduate and postgraduate medical training in India, before moving to the UK in 1999. In 2001 he joined The Christie and completed specialist training in Clinical Oncology. He was the appointed as a Consultant oncologist at The Christie in 2006 and is a member of the Disease Orientated Group for breast cancer. He also played a fundamental role in the development of the chemotherapy unit at Stockport Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Currently Dr Chittalia provides Multidisciplinary team input at Nightingale Breast cancer Unit at Wytrhenshawe hospital. 

Dr Chittalia ia mainly based at The Christie hospital and has NHS clinic at The Christie and private clinic at The Christie Private care and The Wilmslow hospital

As well as his clinical work he is actively involved in research and training. He is the Principal Investigator at Christie for Metformin trial and for the Import High Radiotherapy trials at Stockport NHS foundation. He also lectures medical students and registrars and used to be the Trust lead for Middle Grade doctors. He regularly attends national and international meetings, and is well-informed on the advances in cancer care.

Dr Chittalia is very passionate about his clinical practice and believes that all patients should receive the highest standard of care, in a timely and efficient manner.
