Dr David Cain is a consultant Intensivist and Anaesthetist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. Dr Cain received his Medical degree at Edinburgh University in 2003. He completed his general medical training at University College London, anaesthesia training at University College Hospital London and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Intensive Care training within the pan-London training scheme.
He was awarded an MD(res) research degree at University College London in 2017, entitled ‘Perioperative Neutrophil Dysfunction’. He was appointed as a consultant at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in February 2017.
He is currently Clinical Lead for Organ Donation, Clinical Lead for Morbidity and Mortality and Co-Lead for Infection Control. He has published a range of basic science and clinical research papers. -
