Prof Amedeo Chiribiri is a Consultant Cardiologist at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, where he is the Director of the Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Service and Professor of Cardiovascular Imaging at King's College London. He also sees patients privately, including at The London Bridge Hospital and Harley Street Clinic in London.
Prof Chiribiri qualified in Medicine with honours from the University of Turin in 2001 and then undertook specialist training in Cardiology at this university and also in advanced cardiac imaging and cardiac MRI at the German Heart Institute Berlin. He completed his training in Cardiology (CCT) in 2006 and obtained a PhD in Experimental Medicine and Human Physiology in 2011 at the University of Turin while also working as Honorary Consultant Cardiologist and Clinical Research Fellow in Cardiovascular Imaging at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.
In 2013, Prof Chiribiri was appointed as Director of the Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Service at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust Foundation . He is active in research focused on cardiac imaging, with more than 140 peer reviewed publications, several book chapters and several ongoing large research grants. Prof Chiribiri regularly lectures both nationally and internationally.
