Mr Sam Oussedik

Mr Sam Oussedik provides medical advisory services for HCA's Princess Grace Hospital.

 

In this role, he has responsibility for maintaining a roster of qualified consultant Orthopaedic surgeons (“On-Call Orthopaedic Surgeons”) to provide on-call Orthopaedic Surgery services to The Princess Grace Hospital & The Lister Hospital between the hours of 8pm and 7:30am (Monday-Friday) and weekends/public holidays. In doing this, he contacts orthopaedic surgeons in advance of each rostered shift.

 

Mr Oussedik is also a member of the Wellington Hospital Knee Unit. This group of specialist knee doctors provides medical advisory services for The Wellington Hospital. In their role, they lead interactions with hospital medical staff and the hospital leadership team to assist the hospital by providing medical advice and promote high quality, cost effective care.

 

In their role, they contribute to the strategy, policies and decision making regarding knee surgery and advise HCA to ensure that care provided within the facility is appropriate and efficient. In their role, they advise on initiatives to drive clinical standards by providing professional advice on clinical governance matters and ensuring the adoption of those by colleagues in the orthopaedic area.

 

HCA UK is charged by doctors in return for their expertise and advice, including on how to operate safe hospital facilities delivering complex care. All services provided under this agreement are charged to HCA UK. In 2020 the total paid to Mr Oussedik for these services at Princess Grace Hospital was £13,240. Until 30 April, the total paid for these services in 2021 is £5,296.

 

In 2020, the total paid for these services to the Wellington Hospital Knee Surgery Unit LLP was £73,482. Until 30 April, the total paid for these services in 2021 is £47,581.

 

HCA requires the doctors that advise us to attest that if they also practice in the NHS that they are not compromising their NHS commitments.
