Mr Christopher Chan

Mr Chan is a member of the GI Advisory Group at HCA's Harley Street Clinic. (GI means Gastro-Intestinal.)

 

In this role, he provides professional medical advisory services to HCA in relation to diagnostic and colorectal surgery in line with current practice. He works with the senior leadership team at the hospital to provide advice on the management and growth of colorectal surgery and intervention at the hospital. This includes providing professional advice on clinical governance matters where appropriate.

 

He assists HCA in the preparation and implemetation of policies and procedures for the hospital to ensure quality assurance and compliance with all relevant UK legislation and regulations.

 

He monitors and reports on surgical outcomes performed by the hospital, including a comprehensive audit of treatment outcomes.

 

HCA UK is charged by doctors in return for their expertise and advice, including on how to operate safe hospital facilities delivering complex care. All services provided under this agreement are charged to HCA UK.

 

In 2020, the total paid to this group of doctors for these services was £1,200.

 

HCA requires the doctors that advise us to attest that if they also practice in the NHS that they are not compromising their NHS commitments.
