Prof Lennard Funk

As a doctor in The Manchester Arm Clinic LLP, Professor Funk provides medical advisory services for HCA's 52 Alderley Road (Wilmslow). These doctors lead interactions with hospital medical staff and the hospital leadership team to assist the hospital by providing medical advice and promote high quality, cost effective care.

 

They contribute to the strategy, policies and decision making regarding orthopaedics treatments and advise HCA to ensure that care provided within the facility is appropriate and efficient. They advise on initiatives to drive clinical standards by providing professional advice on clinical governance matters and ensuring the adoption of those by colleagues in the orthopaedics area.

 

In addition, they work with medical insurance companies, GPs, other relevant local NHS contacts, and patients to educate and advise on relevant clinical updates to treatments in orthopaedics available in the facility. They advise on the accuracy of literature that may be published regarding relevant services. They advise on how to make the patient referral smooth to reduce stress and anxiety for patients.

 

Professor Funk acts as the clinical lead and advisor for sports medicine and consultant orthopaedic services in the North West of England to encompass research and development activities at a number of HCA UK facilities.

 

All services provided under this agreement are charged to HCA UK. In 2021, the total paid for these services to The Manchester Arm Clinic Ltd was £108,346.

 

HCA requires the doctors that advise us to attest that if they also practice in the NHS that they are not compromising their NHS commitments.
