The TrueBeam™ linear accelerator provides a new level of capability for tailoring treatments to a patient's individual case and cancer type. The London Radiotherapy Centre is the first clinic in the UK to offer this pioneering new system.

The technology delivers radiotherapy up to eight times faster than other linear accelerators and with pinpoint accuracy, which helps to protect healthy tissue and speed up recovery.

The London Radiotherapy Centre is equipped with both the TrueBeam™ radiotherapy system and the TrueBeam™ STx radiosurgery system to provide you with the most comprehensive level of care possible.

The machine is also the first in the country to have a ‘6 Degree of Freedom’ couch. This makes your treatment more comfortable and allows uninterrupted treatment, even if you move.

Radiotherapy truebeam

Advanced radiotherapy and stereotactic radiosurgery

The TrueBeam is the most accurate linear accelerator available. It has the ability to target tumours with high dose beams in minutes. This means that patients are receiving the most effective radiation treatment in minimal time whilst preserving the surrounding healthy tissue.

Dedicated private radiotherapy service in partnership with the NHS

HCA Healthcare UK are working in partnership with two of London’s most respected NHS teaching hospitals, Guy's and St Thomas'and University College Hospital. These partnerships mean our patients can receive advanced radiotherapy and have direct access to a full range of treatment options including chemotherapy and dedicated inpatient facilities. Our radiotherapy centres are purpose built. This provides a safe environment and continuity of care for our patients.

Although patients may be having other treatment at a different facility they can choose to have their radiotherapy at one of our centres. Because all of our care is consultant led, you may ask your doctor to make a referral into one of our facilities or to one of our clinical oncologists for appropriate review and treatment.
