Sports Injury?

Website:

Stay on top form with fast, quality care at competitive prices.

If you’ve sustained a sports injury, or suffer with niggling pain from an ongoing problem, you should see a specialist as soon as possible before it gets worse.

Sports medicine is a rapidly expanding speciality, and our leading consultants are experts in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of all types of sports and musculoskeletal injuries. Activities as diverse as ballet, badminton, cricket and athletics, as well as common winter sports such as skiing, are responsible for many of the conditions we treat.

Our multi-disciplinary team draws on the expertise of a number of specialists, including:

  • sports physicians
  • radiologists
  • physiotherapists
  • specialist nurses
  • orthopaedic surgeons

All are dedicated to getting you back to enjoying your sport again as quickly as possible. They work with state-of-the-art equipment, including advanced imaging facilities, and the latest treatments to provide the highest quality care and help you to prevent further injuries.

They can offer you expert advice on sports-related matters such as overtraining or exercise-induced asthma, as well as the best in biomechanical analysis, medical imaging, and an integrated understanding of conventional and complementary medicine.

When surgery is required, our sports injury specialists have access to the latest keyhole, or arthroscopic, surgery techniques. You’ll benefit from:

  • minimal invasion and trauma to the affected joint
  • less post-operative pain
  • faster recovery time
  • lower risk of complications than traditional surgery

For around £250, a leading consultant experienced in sports medicine will assess your condition and suggest the best course of action.

Frequently asked questions

The best treatment available

Over the last ten years, HCA Hospitals has invested £500 million in the latest technologies, treatments and facilities. No other private hospital group offers such a high level of expertise in such superior hospitals, so you know you’re getting the best treatment available.

Competitive treatment costs

You don’t need medical insurance to have treatment with us. Our treatment costs are more affordable than you may think and our prices are very competitive. Our straightforward process makes things as easy as possible, with no hidden costs.

  • Your initial consultation with one of our leading specialists, to clarify your condition and discuss the best course of action, will cost around £250.
  • Following this, if treatment is required, we'll give you an estimated price so that you can consider your options.
  • If you decide to go ahead with treatment, we'll arrange a pre-operative assessment and then provide a firm price offer so that you know exactly what the cost will be.

Not all private hospitals are the same

When choosing a private hospital, do bear in mind that some private hospitals don’t have any on-site critical care facilities in the event of an emergency. In the event that you need urgent or specialist care, our hospitals have a 24-hour, level 3 critical care unit with a dedicated multi-disciplinary team to look after you.

What to do next

To clarify your condition and discuss the best course of action for around £250, call our team of advisors from 8am to 8pm, on 020 7079 4399. You’ll normally be able to book a same day or next day appointment, and our advisors can give you a guide price for some common treatments when you call.

If you were examined or treated by another doctor at the time of your injury, please bring any relevant X-rays or paperwork with you to your appointment.
