Royal thank you at The Shard for HCA hospital staff

HCA International invites staff to share in presentation of The Queen’s Award for Enterprise and celebrates community and charity work

Staff from across HCA International’s world class hospitals met at The Shard on Thursday evening as the company’s President and CEO, Michael Neeb was presented The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade.

Representing Her Majesty The Queen, Sir Ian Johnston CBE QPM DL Deputy Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London, congratulated HCA on its extraordinary success, presenting the specially commissioned scroll and crystal bowl to HCA.

HCA competes with world class hospitals in the US, Singapore, Germany and beyond in providing complex medical and surgical treatment. In this award, HCA was recognised for its considerable growth in international patients, and the associated contribution to UK patients by driving world class health outcomes.

Accepting the award, HCA’s President and CEO Michael Neeb, thanked staff from across the HCA group for making the achievement possible, highlighting the coordination work of HCA’s dedicated team who liaise directly with the overseas patients, led by the company’s Director of International Business and Relations and Marketing, Khadija Mouhajer

Michael Neeb, President and Chief Executive Officer of HCA International commented: “International patients can go to the best hospitals in the world. Last year a record number of international patients choose HCA. Our position as a world class provider drives competition and innovation in the UK, driving up standards for all of our patients.

"This Award is an extremely welcome recognition of the positive role that private hospitals can play in our economy and HCA’s position in attracting international trade in to London and beyond.

“We wanted to thank the people who made that possible – the staff and doctors at HCA hospitals who make an amazing contribution to patient care day in day out, and who many of our patients fly in from across the world to be treated by. We also wanted to celebrate individual exceptional contributions such as those staff who win our Employee of the Quarter recognition awards. My senior team and I would like to say thank you and we are so proud.”
