HCA Healthcare UK appoints a new CEO of the London Bridge Hospital

HCA Healthcare UK is pleased to announce that Janene Madden has been appointed the new CEO of London Bridge Hospital, with effect from 1 January 2017.

Janene Madden will join London Bridge Hospital after a successful seven year tenure as Chief Executive of The Portland Hospital, also part of HCA Healthcare UK.

The Portland is the UK’s only private hospital dedicated to the healthcare of women and children and over the course of her leadership Janene has established The Portland’s reputation for outstanding care.

Under Janene’s leadership, The Portland has developed plans to double the size of its children’s facility, already the largest in the UK. In February 2015 planning permission was granted for a £20 million expansion.

Janene has also supported some the UK’s leading consultants to bring the latest life-improving treatments to The Portland, putting it at the forefront of ground-breaking new medicine, for example the Hospital was the first in the private sector to perform a Selective Doral Rhizotomy.

Janene Madden, incoming CEO of London Bridge Hospital, said:

Janene Madden will begin her role at London Bridge Hospital on 1 January 2017.

Aida Yousefi will be taking on the role of interim CEO of The Portland Hospital alongside her role as CEO of The Harley Street Clinic. Aida has been CEO of The Harley Street Clinic since 2014 having previously worked to lead world class cancer services across HCA UK.

Aida will work closely with the clinical and management teams of each facility to ensure continuity of exceptional care.
