HCA International Limited has appointed Charlotte Espie as Chief Executive Officer of The Princess Grace Hospital.
Charlotte Espie joins The Princess Grace Hospital from BMI where she has been Northern Regional Director for three years. Prior to that Charlotte worked for Bupa Hospitals (now Spire) for seven years in various roles.
“I am delighted to be returning to London to take up this role in one of the Capital’s most prestigious acute hospitals,” said Charlotte. “There’s a great team at The Princess Grace and my job will be to build on the very considerable achievements of the past.”
HCA International Limited President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Michael Neeb, said Charlotte Espie was one of the country’s top private healthcare managers. “We are very pleased to have someone of Charlotte’s ability join the HCA team. Charlotte brings a tremendous focus on excellence in patient care that matches up well with HCA’s approach to healthcare,” he said.
Charlotte succeeds Sue Smith, who has been CEO of the Princess Grace Hospital for 14 years and who is leaving to set up a healthcare consultancy.
“We owe a debt of gratitude to Sue Smith for her leadership at the Princess Grace Hospital and are delighted to be an initial customer of her new consultancy, Susan Smith Associates Ltd,” said Mr Neeb. Charlotte Espie will take up her position at The Prince Grace Hospital in June.
