Case study: Bevan (Consultant: Mr Simon Owen-Johnstone)
Ruptured Bicep Tendon
Bevan works as a full time personal trainer. Fitness and being in shape is a part of Bevan’s livelihood and religion. Bevan ruptured his bicep tendon during a boxing training session eight months ago and following his injury, did not think he could ever box again and was incredibly worried about his career as a personal trainer. He was initially concerned about the mental side of the injury and also regaining his optimum fitness levels. Bevan came to see Mr Owen-Johnstone and was immediately put at ease and had full confidence in his consultant. Mr Owen-Johnstone duly performed a very successful operation to repair his injury. Bevan feels incredibly grateful that he was referred to Mr Owen-Johnstone and that he also had the support of London Bridge Hospital’s physio team through rehabilitation. Bevan says he is now pretty much back to 100% fitness and strength, and he is extremely grateful to the hospital and Mr Owen-Johnstone for the service provided to help him get back to his job and career.
