Anthony Warrens is Dean for Education and Professor of Renal Medicine at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London. He has an active clinical practice in renal medicine as a Consultant at the Royal London Hospital. He previously held a chair at Imperial College and was a consultant nephrologist at the Hammersmith Hospital for 14 years, where he was also head of the clinical immunology laboratory. Although interested in all areas of renal medicine and hypertension, Professor Warrens has a particular interest in immunological disease and renal transplantation and recently became President-Elect of the British Transplantation Society. He has published and lectured extensively on immunology and transplantation. He chaired his former Trusts audit committee for five years and became the foundation Education Director of his Clinical Programme Group (Cardiovascular and Renal Diseases and Rheumatology). He was also the foundation head of the Imperial College Graduate-Entry MB BS Programme.
