Dr Ian McCurdie is a Consultant in Rheumatology & Rehabilitation Medicine and a Sports Physician with extensive experience in elite sport. His clinical interests include the diagnosis & management of sport & exercise related injuries, with an approach based on the effective use of multi-disciplinary teams to deliver rehabilitation that ensures a safe and speedy return to function.

As well as his clinic at the Institute of Sport, Exercise & Health in Central London, Dr McCurdie also works as a Consultant at the military rehabilitation centre, DMRC Headley Court and delivers specialist clinics on-site at Goldman Sachs in Fleet Street.

Dr Ian McCurdie was the Chief Medical Officer for Team GB at the last 3 Olympic Games (Beijing, Vancouver & London 2012) and has been a doctor with Team GB at 2 further Olympic Games (Sydney & Athens) and with Team England at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester & Melbourne. Ian was also CMO to the British Modern Pentathlon Association for 7 years, a member of the Chelsea FC medical team for 3 seasons and medical officer to the British Davis Cup tennis team. He is currently a member of the medical team for the Wimbledon Tennis Championships & ATP World Tour Finals and a sports physician to The Royal Ballet School in Covent Garden.
