Oral and Maxillofacial surgery
Mr Tim Lloyd qualified as a dentist in 1984 from UMDS (Guy's Hospital). He returned to medical school in 1987 after a period as an Oral Surgery registrar at Stoke Mandeville Hospital Plastic's and Jaw Injury Unit and qualified as a doctor in 1993. His specialist training was based at Queen Mary's Roehampton and UCLH obtaining him a specialist fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2001 and a fellowship in Dental Surgery on 1991. Post fellowship he spent 2 months at the unit in Chapel Hill North Carolina. He was appointed as a Consultant with a special interest in facial deformity and trauma at UCLH and the Eastman Dental Hospital in March 2002. As lead he has developed a multidisciplinary adult craniofacial service with his colleagues at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), University College London Hospitals (UCLH) and the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital (RNTNE) and has one of the busiest orthognathic practices in the UK. Recently he has been a consultant advisor for MEDARTIS and has helped develop revolutionary anatomical base plating set.
