Lower limb trauma & reconstruction surgery, paediatric orthopaedic surgery, hip & knee replacement
Mr Om Lahoti has been appointed as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon for over a decade and he holds a special interest in Trauma and Lower Limb reconstructive surgery including computer assisted knee replacement surgery and arthroscopic surgery. He regularly conducts teaching sessions for postgraduates in paediatric orthopaedics and limb reconstruction. He travels to India frequently to lecture to post graduates and also helps conduct course in Limb Reconstruction Surgery. After qualifying in India as an orthopaedic surgeon in 1985, he received advanced training in Ireland and the South East. He has completed a fellowship in paediatrics and limb reconstruction surgery in Sheffield and has also travelled to Kurgon Trauma Institute in Siberia, Russia to receive advanced training in Limb Reconstruction.Mr Lahoti is a member of British Orthopaedic Association and British Limb Reconstruction Society. He also holds visiting fellowship at Brighton Medical University. Mr Lahoti has a wide range of expertise in orthopaedic surgery, undertaking trauma and general orthopaedic procedures including arthroscopy of hip, knee and ankle joints. His main area of subspecialty is limb reconstruction for difficult trauma, non-union and deformities including post-polio paralysis. He is also a fellowship trained paediatric orthopaedic surgeon and treats cases of club feet and developmental dislocation of hip. He also looks after adolescent athletes and carries out hip and knee replacement surgery for arthritis, including computer assisted knee replacement surgery.
