Dr Deane Halfpenny

Dr Halfpenny is a consultant in musculoskeletal pain medicine with a special interest in spinal pain and injury. His specialties include treatment of amateur athletes who have over trained as well as spinal pain injections to assist with pain.Dr Halfpenny graduated from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa in 1990 and completed his early medical training in the UK. Dr Halfpenny then specialised in anaesthesia, maintaining a 2 year researching lecturer position at St Bartholomew's Hospital. Dr Halfpenny became a consultant at St Bartholomew's and the Homerton Hospital in London where he became clinical lead in the establishment of the City and Hackney Back Pain Service. He works closely with exercise therapists and holds joint MDTs that allow him to have a unique understanding of pain and movement. Dr Halfpenny became a partner of the London Orthopaedic Clinic in 2012.
