for varicose veins, cosmetic laser treatment for thread veins, minimally invasive treatment of vascular disorders
Mr Ian Franklin is a vascular surgeon and a leading specialist in vascular and endovascular surgery. He has performed the highest volume of VNUS Closure procedures in the UK (over 650). Mr Franklin holds an academic post at the Imperial College Faculty of Medicine as Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer and is active in research. He has published numerous scientific papers, book chapters and books and is a dedicated teacher and trainer within medical school programmes.Due to the inherent complexity of the many vascular disorders, there may be more than one way of managing a particular condition. For this reason, when planning a procedure, Mr Franklin will discuss all the treatment options in a multidisciplinary team meeting, which includes vascular surgeons, radiologists, neurologists, anaesthetists, cardiologists, vascular technologists and specialist vascular nurses. This multidisciplinary approach ensures that that all perspectives are considered before recommending a course of action to a patient.
